with the recent showcase, did aespa redeem their reputation of bad stage presence?

from savage era, people started saying aespa fell off when it comes to performing, often criticizing their lip syncing and bad dancing skills. but i saw lots of praises for their performance and live singing at the showcase, specially for giselle and winter. did they redeem themselves? do you consider them good performers now?

The question is: who are praising them? MYs only? I saw the LTS performance and I wasn’t impressed. I don’t think they should have added a choreo to LTS it looks awkward and unnecessary. SM should have let them just walk around while singing and improvise.

I didn’t watch the other performances though so which ones would you recommend?

We need high quality cameras and professional setting to judge the stage fairly for us watchers. Even high quality sound mics. MAMA could have been that opportunity but they fucked up that stage so bad. Hopefully this year with audience, aespa and the stage directors take it seriously. Regardless, speaking of skills, they’re top tier vocalists in Kpop. Dance is a hit or miss. I saw a fancam of their second day illusion dance and it was impressive so they should keep up that energy during broadcasted concerts and mix things a little like have a remix, dance break, give a pause to go around the stage and interact with audience not just perform a fixed choreo.

No. There's a lot and I mean a lot of room for improvement.

And we don't need high quality professional setting and fancy camerawork to show that. If they had good enough stage presence it would show even in grainy fancams. Artists with good stage presence go viral all the time for their presence even in videos with 144p quality and shaky cams.
