Is a new classmate defending Soojin telling something about idols getting judged (+condemned) too fast by netizens and K-pop fans?

  • She apologized to her fans. It was more a clarification saying she didn't bully anyone but admitting to smoking like three times and wearing clothes unsuitable for students. None of that proves she was a bully, she says she was just a lost kid.

Taeyong's situation is different cause it was proven he did it and made up for his actions years ago. In Soojin's case we don't have any confirmation nor do the accuser and Soojin seem to be making up anytime soon.

True, and the clarification sounded reasonable.

As for Taeyong, he was accused of a LOT of things, of scamming and bullying lots of people - most of which proved to be untrue, and most of it things taken out of context or insubstantial rumor mongering by anonymous netizens.

And even for the one real victim, stuff got intensely overexaggerated and blown out of proportion - or sometimes completely untrue. As that tale of that so called 'friend' of the victim proved, who seemed intent on shading and 'punishing' Taeyong with strong stories, up to the point he/she didn't even bother to check up with the victim, else he/she would've known how things really were between the two and that there hadn't been any blood at all between the two for years.

That's the thing about accusations, hate mongering, rumor mongering (like bully rumors etc).

Even if they're proven false, fake news, taken out of context or blown out of proportions, a lot of people keep remembering them and thinking those were true - because they never bothered to stick around for the truth when it came out. And lots of people only tend to believe the most negative stuff when it's about other people they don't familiarize or empathize with.
