I dunno man...

many groups said they would too but you know it won't be the same... they would treat it as a side project that happens once in a blue moon because they will realize that it's easier to work own their own.

When it happens, it happens. Just enjoy the moment and whatever activities they want to share with us guys

yes, especially that. they might say they will comeback now but people change. they admitted to it themselves, they said since their debut, nothing went according to plans. there's something they said they wouldn't do but they did anyway. they said they have to find the message to say as BTS but what if they can't find it? Nothing is certain and definitely not as positive as what they want to convince armys/people to think.

They will, at first only with singles and a lot of years later when the solos won't go as good as planned they'll want a group comeback.

2pm have 2 very very successful members in taecyeon and junho. Chanhyuk is also very popular on his own. Taecyeon is not even in jype anymore and still 2pm managed to make 2 comebacks. Taemin became one of the biggest k-pop soloists on his own when all his members were in military. But still shinee came back as a group as soon as all of them were out. Suju regularly come back even when all of them have made huge money over the years.
When there's a will there's way. I am a multistan so I follow alot of groups since 2nd gen. And tbh bts as a group is lot more closer than many kpop groups i have come across. They went from rags to riches all with each other. No one was with them during this time so they understand each other more than anyone else. Bts along with shinee is the last k-pop group I think that will think about disbanding.

Taehyung barely got to show anything in the group, he wasn't included in any of the collab except one. If he wants to shine as solo i'll support him. I'll support all members as soloist as well as group. It's upto them, do whatever they want without feeling pressurised.
I agree even though I'm not even Taehyung biased. Imagine all the acting and endorsements offers that he had to decline over the years because of their OT7 agenda? BTS songs are usually are too high for his vocal tone so he barely got to show off his strength as a baritone/bass. So this opportunity is like god's send to him imo. No wonder he said he has so many things to show as a soloist on the dinner party.

I doubt their solo careers will ever eclipse the group's success

I doubt it, BTS is not any other group.

The BTS paycheck is just too good for them to never get back together. Even if they do extremely well as soloists, they’re never gonna be IFPI’s #1 best selling artist kind of big.
It’s in their own best interest to keep the group’s brand alive, even if they spend most of their time on solo activities.
This new solo era is just the next step in BTS’ transition into a legacy act.

Isn't the whole reason they're taking a break is because they've lost the soul and passion for music that they used to have? They've been struggling to write songs that mean something to them, they've just been "forcing" the lyrics out of them.
I.e. they don't care about the money. They've probably made more than enough to last the rest of their lives even if they never work again so the "paycheck" really sounds like it's irrelevant to them...
If they find more passion for music as soloists they may not get back together. None of us, not even the members, will know what they want and where their career will take them until it happens. We can speculate and insist all we want but nothing is certain in life, in music, in anything.
