once your number one group officially/unofficially disbands, will you still be into kpop?

  • i’m asking this because it’s pretty mixed based on what i’ve seen. there are many people who would move on to new groups and enjoy them just as much but others who would get less and less interested until eventually they’re not really into the whole fandom thing anymore

for me, i’d say i would probably be the latter. i only stan two groups and casually listen to a lot of others, so when those two groups disband i think i’d keep up with a few releases from time to time but eventually lose my interest in the fandom culture. if i hear a song i like, i might add it to my playlist but i don’t see myself watching content, keeping up with stats, etc.

  • Nope. My fave are semi disbanded. Every year I think it's time to start ageing out. Every year a new group catches my interest. I'm more into music than I am into the idols themselves so I think that makes the difference.

  • This is the power of the Multistan

If my mains move on, there are others I can turn to

  • If BTS disbands I'm done with kpop. Perhaps i'd even give up on them if hiatus ended up being long. I'm not even sure if i'd keep up with their solo careers. I'm only interested in the group

  • Yes, I will still be into kpop for 7+years. I stan another gg unlike my ult gg and I wanna stan a new bg from either sm or cube entertainment. So once my ult gg have a long hiatus or disband, I will have two other groups to follow. I will stan my ult gg for the rest of my life. I'm worried for the new upcoming bg from sm entertainment and cube entertainment, I hope mainly their music, concepts etc. will be good. 4th Gen bg title tracks are iffy but I heard their bsides are good.

Also if i dont like neither of the bgs its going to be fine. I stan Twice and Blackswan, so the content is good. Beside im a casual listener to the rest of the industry and i feel like by the time when im older i will outgrown the fandom culture. My ult gg will be celebrating their tenth anniversary and the other gg will be in their fifth anniversary.

  • probably will only care for their soloist careers and charts since i like digits and math, but no other group

  • If Blackpink disband I’ll follow their solo careers and casually listen to kpop.

Won’t stan any other group tbh

  • I've been through the worst hiatuses in all of Kpop, with Mina and Blackpink. Then i started stanning Izone right before they disbanded. I'm still here though, still catching new music, still watching as much variety show and Vlives as i can.

  • Yes, I still have my numbers 2, 3 and 4 to feed me

  • I was in Kpop before my no. 1 group happened, so I'll still be here.

  • if exo disbands its time for me to move on. im slowly losing interest in kpop anyways, other than listening casually to other group's music, I don't watch anything related to kpop anymore, fancams, award shows, variety shows.

I will always support exo and their solo careers though

  • yeah they alr half disbanded years ago.

  • As long as there’s music I like, I’d still listen. It’s weird to me that people give up a whole musical genre because one artist left. Like if Kendrick Lamar stopped making music, I wouldn’t say “well I’m not listening to rap anymore!”

I don’t think I’d stan either group (following all the content and details), but I’d still listen to Kpop music..
