I know this is a set up thread, but let's be honest there's a reason why nct OFFICIAL account made that tweet caption and their stan ran through with it. SM really needs to step up their game and stop doing this dumb media play strategy.

We commented based on the tweet made by the office account. It purposely written to confuse people and those who are not fans (and won’t read the article) and not familiar with SM’s tendency to add up albums will think it’s 3M per album. Just want some clarification and we got it.

But I saw another group chart saying x is a million seller, only it actually means x sold million with all its albums within a year. At first I thought that group sold 1m per album when I read the fans tweets. and no one complained about that despite the confusion.
at least this chart mentions it’s cumulative sales and it’s one album with a repackage while the former was talking about completely different albums released at different times.
