There are a few who consistently make good pop music.
But what strikes me as strange is how many K-pop fans put western music on such a high pedestal as if everything from the West is super lyrical, meaningful, and profound. I've seen people criticize K-pop for having horrible lyrics, but have you really not heard western radio in the past decade?
I don't have a problem with it because there's a time and place for everything in music. Not everything has to be meaningful. But for K-pop fans to have this elitist complex, mocking K-pop while giving western pop a pass, is highly questionable.
