RE : What do you do when a group you loved and stanned for years keeps releasing music that you don't like?

I would still give their new material a listen. They released music I love for years after all, and it'd be a bit weird to unstan because of one or two songs. But if I dislike too many releases in a row, perhaps even including a whole album, then I'd stop checking out their comebacks.

I also listen to older songs all the time since I don't usually delete songs from my playlists unless I no longer like them.

Then it's time to move on obviously. Or become a casual fan so you only check out their releases onc in a while until they release something you like one day.

Move on to another group or wait and see if they release something you like

Time to move on and forget them. No point in being a fan of a group you longer feel passionate about. I know that feeling.

Unstan

I’d keep giving their new material a try but for each comeback I didn’t like they’d slowly drop down my bias ranking.

This sorta happened for me with Twice. Twice has been one of my bias groups since I first got into Kpop but late-2018 til 2020 I didn’t like any of their comebacks. I kept listening to their old songs but they were slowly dropping of my main groups (which was kinda painful since I’d stanned them for so long). Luckily their 2021 releases slapped so now I’m in full Twice mode again
