Aespa is the best promoted group in SM history

  • Looking at their upcoming comeback, SM has gone above and beyond

First up, Coachella. For me, the actual performance was forgettable. But SM generated maximum buzz via their media headlines

Next, over a month of pre order and time for fanbases to prepare. Digi-packs with like 5 albums per sale that are 12 dollars a piece. Target and Amazon distribution by partnering with an American label.

Surprise b-side released a month in advance and immediately on big Spotify playlists, including all the KPOP ones and New Music Friday.

English single released on June 24th.

L.A showcase ahead of album release

    New SMCU episode

And I'm sure there will be at least two weeks of high budget and exciting teasers plus an American late night show performance

I don't think there is anything wrong with promoting your artists and other groups have used the digipack strategy before. But I really do wonder why SM cannot do this for all of their artists - like is it really so hard to use digipacks or get Target distribution for RV

  • Glad SM is making their effort on aespa so they can grow. Girls need to step it up too in terms of performances and stage presence and prove their haters wrong. I’m positive they have been practicing a lot for this comeback and this comeback will be HUGE!

Also… please SM I hope you don’t abandon Korea. I don’t want to see a boycott like what happened to nct during Superhuman era.

  • It's about time, SM have been lagging behind the other big companies for years in the ways to promote their groups: stuff that other big companies have been doing in various ways to boost and promote their groups and their comebacks for years now, SM only started doing recently.

They should learn from it, and start doing it for all their groups.

  • Now say that without crying.

The self victimization of reveluvs is funny because they still have solo work and comebacks. Rv was also promoted the same way when they debuted. The market was different then and now so SM switched up their strategies. If rv had to blow up in their debut year they would.
