Why are people so quick to call out gg stans for their bs but not boy group stans?

I mean seriously there is so much discussion about gg stans being misandrist, thinking their feminist but they aren’t, always being toxic blah blah blah

But big group stans never get the same treatment.

I’m here for calling gg stans on their bull but people be acting like bg stans are some victims who can’t possibly be as toxic

it's because gg stans are everywhere but bg stans for a big part stay in their own communities and interact mostly within their own fandom. this should be obvious

bgs are irrelevant. ggs are the trend now

because when you try to explain that either:

-his fave does not walk on water

or

-his fave picture where he has make up, hair done, and photoshop is not natural

or

-his fave songwriting is a self achievement but he is not Beethoven/John Lennon/Paul McCartney/Shakespare

Used to be the opposite. People harassing boy group stans for only liking boy groups. Saying they’re all crazy fan girls who only care about visuals. It’s still a thing.

A lot of girl group stans used to act really superior (some still do) and talked about how shit all boy groups are.

The backlash towards girl groups stans is a reaction to that.

Really it comes in waves.

First boy group stans act superior, saying that girl groups simply aren’t as good.

Then girl group stans attack boy group stans in return.

And then it’s boy group stans turn at the offensive position again

Coz there's too many of them and they'll jump you like a pack of rats.

BG stans always have to write whole essays defending problematic behaviour by their faves, but then they get pressed when gg stans try and defend any female idol with even a whiff of a scandal.

- for not being good enough feminists

- not supporting women

- being horny

- being shallow

- defending oppa

- pick a sexist, misogynist narrative and it will probably be pulled out against a bg stan any day of the week

All i see is gg stans whining about bg stans because to them choosing to stan humans with a pee pee instead of humans with a vee jay is misogynistic behaviour to them
