I’m not sure if SM is using the same method as JYPE, but JYPE’s method requires a US delivery address for the sale - otherwise the order is rejected and refunded.

ain't nobody gonna paying that

Embarassing. 😂😂 Kpop and their obsession with Western validation.

The selective outrage sends me. How come you’re only complaining about aespa when Seventeen has the same thing?

And Itzy?

And Nayeon?

And pretty much anyone who has a Target exclusive version, which is what this is?

I doubt if it make any difference when they already have most U.S distributers. And it does not make sense for SM to deploy this method. Think about this. The sale that going into this could have double the sale that SM could get out of.
It doesn’t count if it wasn’t from a US location though. They just added these versions so I am guessing they’re temporary?
This. I guess ktown try to compete with local U.S stores? U.S residents buy the more expensive album and eat the shipping charg instead of buying the cheaper version from their local stores without shipping? Make sense.

This is ktown4u scamming people. As people said before, they won’t count for Billboard unless they’re being shipped to the US.

how cares? as long as sm can introduce the narrative that aespa at some point charted on bb, they will imput this thought on the minds of the public. And that is what they want, they are Big Brother. And if you don´t what big brother is - Read at least wikipedia version, and you will learn something about mass meddia play

How long are you going to keep believing that lie about SKZ? It has been shown that that site uses the same line to advertise many artists, but it only counts towards Billboard if you purchase from a US address, and counted purchases are limited to 4 per address. (Stray Kids's own online shop would not let you buy more than four albums either.) And Billboard is not run by one sleep-deprived intern from mum's garage. They employ a whole different company to verify sales. You realise that Billboard charts are some of the most important in the US, right? People there have seen many things and are not going to bend over backwards and ignore their own rules for the sake of some relatively new group, a KOREAN group of all origins. It's time to accept SKZ have a big fandom in the US.
But some miserable British skz anti that doesn't even speak Korean but pretended to be Korean told you that it's real so you believe it?
And what happened to the "SKZ have no Korean fans" narrative? Before Oddinary, all their sales were international fans, but before Oddinary they suddenly lost all those US fans and k-fans mass bought it for triple the price and effort? K-stays throw hissy fits if SKZ leave South Korea for an hour and are actively against international promo, you think they'd suddenly care about US charts?
And before anyone attempts to spread misinformation about this too, the Target exclusive photocards were a compensation for two inclusions missing from the Frankenstein version of Oddinary in the US (a photo foldout and an "invitation card", iirc) in accordance with Billboard rules (Scanning and Mask Off ver. aka the regular versions, don't include those two inclusions in any shape, therefore they had to be removed from the limited version too). In addition, shop-specific photocards have always been a thing, Synara get their own, Aladin get their own, etc.
