why Aespa's follow-up title wasn't as big as ....

  • next level or close to it.

for example when Twice had "cheer up" and they hit it huge, their next song "TT" was also huge in Korea and in Japan more, but let's only take Korea now.

why savage didn't do that well? impact wise it's not even close and everything else it lacks a lot

Imo the reason is the song itself, they should've released smth better, that song is pretty bad imo, tho NL is veery very good song, I realy like it

    what you think?

  • Savage was pretty big though, just not NL levels. TT was nowhere near as big as Cheer Up. KTL was a flop compared to Dudududu

Not every song has to match or beat a national hit. It's like expecting to set a world then beating the record every single time after.

  • Most of the time artists follow up songs to their big break isn’t as big

Bp followed up d4 with ktl, it didn’t come close to d4 in sk

Just how it is, they are unlikely to ever see that type of charting again, it’s unfair to hold it against them. All artists have those songs.

  • I like that you only have one example where the follow up was just as big. It's almost like it's fairly common for follow ups to massive hits to not be as massive. :pepe-just-smile:

  • people mentioning ktl, when it was their first under perfom song, yet it peaked at the same number as Savage. Whistle-PWF-AIIYL-DX4-FY those 5 were the huge hit streak for BP after their very first hit Whistle. Twice had the same until Signal since it had worst longevity out of all their tts, Aespa is just NL, BM was flop, Forever even more flop, Savage and DCT are underperfoming with the longevity game in a melon system that allows having the triple of longevity for hits, yet still couldn't do that

  • cos next level is a song from fast & furious 7 or 8 whatever. Sm took it from there, that how lazy they are. And then, they never worked for getting them another good song

  • one thing for sure aespa will making sure that even non-fans will wrote essays about them :pepe-wink:
