I find it so funny how people will attack kopp idols for islamophobic actions as if kpop stans aren't the most islamophobic of all.
Before I start, I acknowledge that some idols have actually done islamophobic things but I've seen idol getting ripped to shreds over accidental things. Like when Jake got hate for wearing a necklace that said Allah. Like blame his stylist, he probably didnt even know what it said. But ofc he gets ripped to shreds as if the kpop community is the most welcoming place on the planet. I also acknowledge that all kpop fans aren't like this but this is a really big issue in the kpop community that needs to be addressed.
Search up "is kpop haram" and watch kpop stans who dont know anything about being Muslim share their opinions. The truth is music in general isnt allowed but kpop stans will talk about why they think Muslims should listen to kpop. A lot of Muslims have pointed out that idolization of kpop idols is haram and kpop stans will bash them and say that they're not idolizing kpop idols. The literally word IDOL is in the term "kpop idol." How are you going to say kpop idols aren't idolized when you literally see some of them selling out items and trending for literally breathing?
Another thing I always see is when Muslims mention how inappropriate kpop music and dancing can be and kpop stans will bash on them for doing so. Have you even looked at the lyrics of most kpop songs? Have you even watched the dances of most kpop songs? Literally even some of the groups with literal kids in them dance rather inappropriately (cough cough le sserafim and ive).
Literally even kpop stans have complained about some of the clothing kpop idols are forced to wear and how inappropriate it js ( super short dresses, skirts that are shorter than protective shorts, etc) so dont pretend Muslims are making stuff up when they cite inappropriate imagery as a reason.
A lot of kpop groups have Muslim fans. That's their own decision to make. But for kpop fans who dont know shit about the religion to tell Muslims that their religion and their decisions in regard to their religion is dumb over literally kpop shows how islamophobic this community really is. You guys will attack some idols for doing things accidentally and in the very same breath dictate how to practice Islam. Learn to respect other people's religions.
