ive kpop flex vs aespa coachella

  • One was a concert with a kpop audience, and the other was a music festival with mostly non kpop music fans. Which crowd would cheer more towards a kpop group? :-)

  • I would like to apologise on behalf of Aespa for drowning yall's goldfishies

  • SM needs the western validation and since their BGs sadly flopped no matter what they did, aespa need to be the saviour. So coachella was ok for aespa because they can get non Kpop fans as well. It pays to be in SM. Otherwise aespa can only perform in kpop events like IVE.

    Watch them ignoring this :pepe-joy:

  • It's not a good comparision, they performed in front of a wildly different audience. Ive in front of kpop fans and Aespa in front of mostly random festival goers

If we had to compare I would say Ive had better stage presence and dance (I also personally like their song more) but unfortunately they still lipsyched

so I would give this to Aespa still since they not only sang live (well with a back track but it's kpop so I have lesser expectations) but they also did it in front of a mostly foreign and unknown audience (since they were a late adition I don't think that many of their fans could of attended)

Not to mention Coachella is a bigger name in the industry (mostly because of how the media portait it and not because it's the best festival out there but nonetheless that doesn't matter it's still more recognizable for the average person)

also not a fan of either group but this is how I see it

  • Can fans of both groups chill lmao

IVE performed at a festival full of KPOP stans who were obviously going to know who they were and engage with their songs. It's great that they got some good publicity out of it but tbh I did not know what KPOP flex was until I looked at AKP and even then I feel like Kai was definitely the main event

As for Aespa, they performed at Coachella and that definitely made more noise than IVE at KPOP flux or whatever. But I don't think they had much impact on the event or that it drastically changed the trajectory of their career, it just kind of happened and then people forgot about it

wasn't Jennie ranked higher than any Aespa member when it came to mentions for just attending lol

  • How ive had better dance?

  • How ive had better dance?

Aespa's choreography was either toned down in favour of vocals (which I can understand) or just seemed half hearted compared to Ive's, they had sharper moves with more force and precision behind them, over all they seemed more in sync as well at least to me
