Do 4th gen groups really like BP that much or are they fishing for blinks

Every new group debuting these days seems to be filled with blinks, idols claiming they got into KPOP because of Blackpink, or idols naming BP as their role models. 3 Lesserafim members named MONEY as a performance they thought was cool lately when it's been months since the song came out and Lisa has never even performed the song

Not to mention the amount of BP covers from fourth gen groups this year alone

Not even a blink, just saw this point raised in an earlier thread now I'm curious whether people think this is genuine admiration or strategy

4th gen gg still mention SNSD as their inspiration and role models despite being 15 years old and inactive when they were created. They gain nothing from that other than showing their feelings.

So why would mentioning black pink be different? Clearly the groups line black pink, it's not like mentioning them has a change in popularity or fame.

Impossible to know but more than a few do it for clout, let's be real lol

Even if they don't beieve BP are the idols of their idols then they have to come to the cynical conclusion that paying BP so much respect gets them the most shine in the eyes of gp

if it was any other 3rd gen group you'd be making threads saying how this proves their impact in the industry and blah blah but suddenly when younger idols are expressing their admiration for blackpink it's "just a pr and fishing for new fans" because god forbid someone to like blackpink's music genuinely and to has the girls as role models

you know "performance" means a song in general, right? gaga and ariana won a best performance grammy but the only stage they ever did was at the vmas.

also, lisa has both a performance video and a dance practice for money plus money was huge in korea, especially among the younger ones. according to tiktok, it's the most popular and used song in the country for 2021
