Refund Sisters


  • I. Introduction

    Refund Sisters is a four member project group formed from MBC variety show Hangout with Yoo. Their member lineup was Man Ok (Uhm Jung-hwa), Cheon Ok (Lee Hyori), Eun Bi (Jessi), and Sil Bi (Hwa Sa). This group is a spin-off of the group SSAK3, which was similarily formed on the show. Refund Sisters debuted with their single Don't Touch Me on October 10, 2020.


    II. Career

    During an episode of Hangout with Yoo in June 2020, Lee Hyori made a joke about becoming an ideal girl crush girl group with herself, Uhm Jung-hwa, Jessi, and Hwa Sa of MAMAMOO. She then talked about having Yoo Jae-suk (Hangout with Yoo's main entertainer) as the group's manager.


    After the episode aired, the artists voiced enthusiasm for the idea, and the public opinion for the project was also receptive.


    Work for the project began in August 2020. Each member came up with personas for themselves and stage names. They held auditions for the manager of the group and Kim Jong-min and Jung Jae-hyung were chosen. Similarly to SSAK3, all money made from the project were donated to charities.


    The group debuted with their single Don't Touch Me on October 10, and the MV for the song was released on October 28.


    Refund Sisters disbanded on November 14, 2020 as their promotions ended then.
