It was first announced in STEP OUT 2021 that Stray Kids would be releasing their second full album. Eventually, the date of the comeback was announced on July 22, through NOEASY - Thunderous Trailer, a cinematic, superhero film inspired, inside joke-filled trailer.
Two of the songs had been already released by the release date of the album. Stray Kids first performed WOLFGANG for the final round of the competition show Kingdom: Legendary War; meanwhile they released Mixtape: OH as a surprise single, a gift for fans.
III. Creation
The title "NOEASY" is a play on the word "noisy", a term detractors of the group often use against them. It also expresses that life is filled with hardships that one can overcome with determination, or as leader Bang Chan put it: "[…] life itself is pretty “no easy." Everyone goes through obstacles, everyone has their own downs and lows, but I feel like it depends on how “noisy” you’re going to be to overcome those hardships."
NOEASY features an impressive number of genres; hip hop, EDM, traditional Korean music, rock, ballad, r&b, and even traces of hyperpop and dnb can be all heard on it.
