She was born in Busan, South Korea. According to her she had a hardtime at highschool. She auditioned for FNC Entertainment in 2009.

III. Career

2012

On August 9, Mina debuted with "Elvis" from their single debut album "Angels' story" under FNC Entertainment as a member of AoA group.

2013

She was cast in the drama "Adolescence Medley"

2014

During this year her father who was hospitalized for cancer and passed away, for that reason her company gave her time off and she didn't participate in many of "Like a cat" promotions.

2015

On February 26, she appeared in Shade's "Bad" MV.

In May, she made her debut as an MC with Y-star's variety show "Gourmet road".

On December 5, she was cast in the drama "All about my mom".

2016

In March, she was cast in the web-drama "Click your heart" produced by FNC Entertainment. She was also in the remake of "Woman's wail" and in the drama "Hospital ship".

2018

In February, she joined the cast of weekly drama "Queen of mystery 2" and in web-drama "Loss time life".

2019

On may 13, Mina left AoA declining the renewal of her contract with FNC Entertainment saying she wants to focus on her acting career.

On July 1, she signed a contract with O& Entertainment.

2020

On July 3, she made bullying accusations towards her fellow AoA member Jimin, saying she bullied her for 10 years straight, which later in September 2021 Dispatch revealed a series of pictures from AoA members messages that denied Mina's allegations. She left O& Entertainment and signed a new contract with Woori Actors which she then terminated her contract with them on September 26 to focus on rest and recuperation.
