NCT 127 Hit The States

- At the time of this series, there are 3 fluent English speakers: Johnny, Mark and Jaehyun. Doyoung and Taeyong can speak and understand some English.

- Despite the name of the show, the series actually travels through the States AND Canada.

Picking cities:

- Jaehyun famously said "he lived in America for four years, that's why he's here, man" in a video for the pre-debut group SM Rookies.

- It's a running joke that Haechan delivers the lyrics to a Justin Bieber song whenever he's going to show off his English.

- Yuta says he wants to visit the ocean again in Phoenix. Phoenix is in the desert in a state that does not touch the ocean. The closet ocean is hundreds of miles away.

- Taeil's last name is Moon - that's the joke about space.

- San Jose is in tech hub of Silicon Valley, which is Johnny's Apple joke. This was the only city with 2 nights of shows.

Jaehyun X NY (feat. Mark) - tour date in Newark, New Jersey - 4/24

- Jaehyun brings Mark.

- The actual concert location is in Newark, about 30 minutes from NY.

- The saxophonist playing "Careless Whisper" shows up in fan compilations.

- Mark singing "The Phantom of the Opera" is also popular in fan compilations.

Doyoung X Atlanta (Feat JW) - tour date 4/26 in Atlanta

- Doyoung brings fellow member Jungwoo with him.

Jungwoo X Miami (feat Johnny) - tour date 4/28 in Miami

- Jungwoo brings Johnny.

- Johnny speaks some Spanish and often handles the Spanish portion in NCT 127 concerts or appearances.

- Spongebob is popular with several of the Neos.

Haechan X Dallas (feat Mk) - tour date: 5/1, air date 5/6

- Haechan brings Mark. It may not be clear from his explanation but Haechan is not his actual name. It's his stage name, which means "full sun." His real name is Donghyuck.

- Mark's quote is popular in the fandom and compilation videos: "We are at the tram stop. Are you the tram that stops?"

- So is this one: "The air smells different here. The air smells plant..ful."

- The driver says Grand Prairie is "a ways" away from their location. It's about 20 minutes, which to a Texan is not that far.

Yuta X Phoenix (feat TY) - tour date 5/3, air date 5/10

- Yuta brings Taeyong.

Taeil X Houston (feat Jaehyun) - tour date 5/5, air date 5/13

- Jaehyun jokes they are the "Timeless" members - this is one of the first songs they sang together as part of NCT.

- Jaehyun and Taeil feeding the giraffe are popular in fan compilations.

- The members posing and saying "flamingo" is also popular.

- Jaehyun trying to convince the little girl to take a picture is also popular.

- Jaehyun reading his fortune about "getting rich" is also popular.

- Taeil asked for recommendations about the moon because Moon is his last name.

Johnny X Chicago (feat TY & YT) - tour date 5/7, air date 5/16

- Johnny brings Taeyong and Yuta.

- Yuta says it's the ocean, but it's actually Lake Michigan, one of the Great Lakes. The closest ocean is over 800 miles (1200 km) away.

- Neos love Starbucks.

Taeyong X SF (feat DY) - tour dates in San Jose 5/9 and 10, air date 5/18

- Taeyong brings Doyoung.

- San Francisco is about an hour drive north of the actual concert location, San Jose.

- The water is actually San Francisco Bay, but it does open into the Pacific Ocean on the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge.

- Taeyong is referencing the "inescapable" island prison Alcatraz.

- The bread they're eating is sourdough, which was made popular in SF.

- San Jose is the only city with more than one tour date.

Mark X LA (feat JW)- tour date 5/12, air date 5/26

- Mark brings Jungwoo.

- NCT 127 had just appeared on the popular talk show The Late Late Show with James Corden.

- Mark's "we look like twins" appears in fan video compilations.

- Again, Taeil's last name is Moon.

Jaehyun X Toronto (feat Taeil) - tour date 5/17, air date 5/31

- Jaehyun brings Taeil.

- Jaehyun and Taeil with the dogs is popular in fan compilations.

Mark X Vancouver - tour date 5/19, air date 6/4

- Mark brings Taeil, Taeyong, Jungwoo and Haechan.

- Mark, Taeyong, Haechan and Taeil used to perform SHINee's "View" as part of SM Rookies, the pre-debut group they were in together.

- Jungwoo kissing Taeil is popular in fan compilations.

- Members enjoying the beach, especially when they are playing around with piggyback rides and splashing, is popular in video compilations.

NCT 127 X Vancouver - tour date 5/19, air date 7/11

- Tim Horton's coffee is famous and popular in Canada.

- Seoul does not have as many green spaces, so members talk a lot about trees and grass throughout the series. (In NCT Life episodes in Thailand, Johnny was very excited to see so much grass again.)

- Jaehyun's "Canada Goose" is popular as a meme and in videos.
