I. Introduction
WayVision is a Korean reality/variety series that follows the members of the boy group, WayV, as they participate in activities and compete for prizes.
II. Overview
WayV is a permanent sub-unit of NCT. The group structure of NCT is unique among K-Pop groups due to the fact that the concept of NCT is an ever expanding group with "unlimited" members and it is comprised of several individual subunits. Currently there are 23 members in NCT, making up four individual subunits, including WayV.
NCT has its own long-running reality/variety show, NCT Life, with several WayV members appearing in it. Additionally, WayV previously appeared on their own separate reality show, WayV Dream Plan. WayVision is described as WayV's first Korean reality show.
Members enjoy a 2-night, 3-day trip to Gangwon-do. They plan and prepare a day of activities for each other, creating their own "channel." All of the channels are described in the opening episode: Kun's in-air activity channel, Yangyang's underwater activity channel, Xiaojun's indoor activity channel, Ten's surfing channel, Winwin's yacht channel, Lucas and Hendery's foodie channel. The members then vote on whose channel they liked best.
WayVision aired on Seezn from September 21, 2020 to October 27, 2020 on every Monday and Tuesday. Two additional episodes were also released: a behind-the-scenes episode on November 6 and a special live reaction show on November 9. The series was recorded in July, following the COVID-19 protocols.
