I. Introduction
XLOV (엑스러브) is a 4-member South Korean boy group under 257 Entertainment (formerly known as JPark & Company). The group consists of Wumuti, Rui, Hyun, and Haru. XLOV combines “X,” meaning the unknown and negation, and “LOV,” which represents incomplete love. Their official greeting is “(two, three) Hello, We are XLOV!“. Their fandom name, EVOL, is the reverse of “LOVE,” symbolizing the completion of “E” in XLOV. In Korean, EVOL (이불) means “blanket,” representing the love that protects our sleep and heals wounds, acting as a band-aid for each other. The group's concept is "genderless", and they are the first KPop boy group with such a theme. This means that their lyrics may not refer to a specific gender, their fashion may lean more androgynous or go against the gender binary, and more.
II. Career
XLOV was introduced on December 17, 2024. They officially debuted on January 7, 2025 with their first single album I’mma Be, with member Wumuti contributing to the song’s production and lyrics.
