this reeks of desperation coming from SM C levels. Hype is looking at global expansion and they will just get more massive as time goes on. Shareholders may not look at short term gain but long term success. Hype stocks has the potential for so much growth and will be much more valuable later on. SM will probably get swallow under Hype any day now.

I hope Hype pulls out lol. No need to spend beyond the initial offered amount. Doesn’t seem worth it, it’s a nice to have but not worth the effort by the way things are going. SM is a fractured company, just a shell now, more work to clean up after. Keep the share they have and let’s move on.

Looking at where Hype is at now, all I can say is that BTS is seriously impressive. Them carrying Bighit and weathering through all the storms back then was the stuff of legends. Think your favs got so much hate now? BTS back then had to endure not just hate, but deliberate smear campaigns led by multiple fandoms, every single comeback eras - Armys had to be on alert. Everything from songs leaking early, to plagiarism claims to over reactions about fashion choices, to voting scandals. Sigh…

Industry insiders treated them like trash too, from memories Run BTS and BTS Rookie Kings were the direct results of them not being able to go on live TV. These show runners didn’t give them a second glance, even when they finally got a feature - the poor treatment was something else. Jungkook and the hamburger incident was really something. This why Armys still and forever will be protective of the boys, and like wise the guys know that no matter what Armys got their backs.

Never in my wildest dreams, with BTS and EXO potentially could be label mates after so much bad blood between the fandoms. Never say never though, Jimin collaborating with Taeyang is a prime example. Fandoms beefing aside, the boys really are true professionals, and are so forgiving even after all the bs they went though. They’ve never complained, just kept walking on that flower path knowing and grateful that Armys will always be by their side.

Armys on the other hand is not so forgiving lol, we may forgive a little bit but never forget. My hope is the boys will benefit greatly from Hype’s growth and success. None of this would even be possible without them. Honestly K-pop westward expansion in general owes it to BTS. Their backs must be hurting and broken after carrying all these years.
