HYBE really pushed her as the CENTER + outstanding visuals + "It girl" vibe comparable to Jennie, Krystal, Irene, Wonyoung. Honestly, I'm surprised they still talk about her too. Imagine if she remained in the group.

This definitely affected my perception of SNSD. I definitely stopped following them as fervently post 9/30 specifically because I disliked their attempts at Jessica erasure and lack of transparency to fans (she wasn't even remotely one of my face members).

Jessica's books provide some insight though where she is critical of not only the girls but also herself. She acknowledges her moving out and estranging herself from the girls may have affected their perception of her and her commitment to the group, which I think was big. + The girls have also hinted at "consideration" being a big factor as to why they've stayed together so long. You can kind of put he pieces together as to what happened from Jess' statement + the girls subtle hints.

Still enjoy both of their content from time to time but definitely side with Jessica on the whole fiasco.

Poor girl. Feel like her star was really on the rise again too. Allegedly had an album with Krystal coming out and stunning visuals during Mr.Mr. promotion. Some tension in regards to "fair share" likely arose between the girls as when they're asked how they've survived so long as 8, they mention consideration. Sucks she's still banned but at least she's still big time rich

I agree but admit Holiday Night was one of if not their best album. Like many have said, Jessica's tone is unique and was a huge factor in contributing to SNSD's sound. As well, she really embodied the essence of SNSD when considering their image among other girl groups during that generation (they were the chic, popular, untouchable, etc. group). Think too others would agree that many of the songs they released post-9/30 would have been great with her vocals (Paradise, Fan, Check, Lion Heart, Holiday, etc.)

OMFG that def sounds like them both! I recall an episode on Radio Star (?) where they were asked who hangs out/talks the most and Jessica said she, Sunny, and Yoona were close. It makes sense too as Sunny also mentioned she, Yoona, and BoA hung out a lot. I wouldn't be surprised if these 3 girls reconnected! + One of Jess friends who was shown in the vid at this point is close with Yoona. OMG my OT9 heart can finally rest easy..........

Glad I'm not the only one. Like if they still hate each other, just let Jessica perform via Zoom or something. I need that OT9 magic again!

Didn't Lil Touch do really well? I think as a whole group, it'll be at least top 20. But I think the album sales will be pretty decent since it's SNSD after all!
