Yeah, I'm not sure but it probably has a lot to do with them not having enough vaccines at the start of the year. My country had that issue, only few vaccines were available in february and it all went to front line workers. Only in april they open vaccinations for those above 85 years old and even then there wasn't enough for all of them in that age group. Gladly now vaccines are arriving so we are at the 50+ range. Japan and Korea have a lot more population than my country, so it makes sense they are taking longer.

By the graph they start increasing vaccinations in june, pretty much how it happened here too, so I'm inclined to believe they had those issues too.

Anyway, poor Doyoung, I wish him a fast recovery
