I thought they had the same since Maniac for some reason, but they have changed one time oops. The band on Maniac tour also did Dome tour with them. Now the band on tour with them is the same they did all the festivals last year with.

I'm sure you had fun at their concert. And yeah I'd love a live album, some of the songs I like the band version better. Idk how common live albums are, I just remember EXO did them for almost every tour.

Tbh I wouldn't pay that amount of money to go to their concert if they weren't confident and good live.

He has a very unique and naturally deep voice that is rare in k-pop especially, that's for sure.

Deep End is the best showcase of his range as a whole and shows potential in what he can do, and it's a beautiful song. I'd love it if his technique improved even more, which I'm guessing it will because he has mentioned taking vocal lessons.

As for rapping, I don't think rap will become one of his biggest talents. It usually works because of his interesting tone and the way SKZ is good at utilizing it in their songs. Imo a lot of his rap-parts are relying more on his tone to carry it, rather than skill. But he does have his moments, he's a decent "idol-rapper".

    cute

Aespa is crazy strong internationally now.

Supernova is the best-performing 2024 k-pop song along with Magnetic. And I think because of this, Whiplash might be overlooked a little, but it is up there as well (2nd fastest kpop group song to reach 130m on Spotify, after Supernova), and it's still charting on Apple Music Global.

They were already growing and doing good with Drama, but Supernova-Whiplash skyrocketed their numbers and Drama now also has really strong longevity.

Aespa is becoming a powerhouse internationally now as well. Which is definitely quite satisfying in a way considering how much people loved to talk about them "only having appeal in SK".

Well, it's nothing new from what it's been like the last few years.

Other than the 2 acts with complete control of their work, their groups are just not "in" anymore. JYP is clearly struggling to make already debuted groups gain back interest, or make people interested in new groups (like the new BG so far has no hype..).

It's like JYP as a company is just not seen as "cool" anymore for a lack of better term. I think them being unable to keep up with other companies with top GG(s) has hurt their image/respectability, especially considering they were known for popular GGs.

And as for these groups, at this point it's hard to get rid of this "uncool, they USED to be good" staple, even if they release a good song. JYP has already given them such unpopular/disliked songs that ruined people's perception/image of them too much. They'd need a very good team with new ideas and ways of building back hype, and JYP hasn't been able to do that.

Tried PC gaming for a minute, was too stressful for what it’s worth 😅

Atp it’s probs best to just wait for PS6, games will be backwards compatibles and in my case I still have nearly 50 games in my back catalogue on Ps4 I need to clear thru xD

…tho recently I graduated and got a new corporate job so there’s barely anymore free time:( It’s so sad thinking ab it knowing I’m probs never gonna never finish my collection 😭

Yeah I don't have much time for gaming now, so the PS6 will probably be out before I prioritize buying anything anyway, so I'll survive without PS5.

Work hard now, and then hopefully later in life you have more free time to go through your collection:finger-heart:

I love Bloodborne, one of the few games I managed to platinum. But yeah in terms of JRPG - Nier Automata is a must, that's my magnum opus, from story to soundtrack to gameplay; everything is second to none. And if you love anime then the Persona series is incredible, Persona 5 Royal is a good starting point - don't be like me and get too invested, shit too damn near 200 hours of my life 😅

Lately I've been playing more on my Wii and DS - Wii Sports and Mario Kart are like my detox, but then when you play with someone else it turns into straight up war 🤣

what consoles do you have or mainly play on?

I've seen many talk about Nier Automata, seems very popular.

I like to play the most on PS4 (didn't buy PS5 yet lol), but also my gaming laptop. It depends on the game but in general I've always preferred PS through the years. My brother got me a Nintendo Switch a while ago, but I haven't used it yet, but I will. I used to loove Wii and was obsessed with a Zelda game, but I don't have one myself now.

Art indeed! It's been very long since I played ICO, I plan on replaying it at one point. Tbh the fact that you had to pause to translate kind of makes it sound even more special and charming in a way.

SOTC is my favorite video game of all time, and I've lost count on how many times I've played it (all versions). If you love the original I definitely recommend the remake. I was worried since I love the original so much, but Bluepoint really did do a good job. (my only criticism is Wander's face.. lol).

And yes I saw! I will forever tune in for Ueda's work.

I've played a lot of games since I was young, in recent years the two newest God of War games stood out to me. But I haven't really played much JRPGs despite it being very popular. I don't think most people count the SoulsBorne series as a JRPGs, but those are some of my favorite games.

You have recommendations? I assume you know some I might like based on our mutual love for Ueda:saint:
