I believe LSF will continue to be this inconsistent throughout their career. I feel like the group was created in a rush which makes sense as most of the members were picked and recruited just a few months prior to debut. Iirc from their documentary, weren't Kazuha and Eunchae picked to join LSF in the same year they debuted?
Also, it's like the team behind them had the intention of focusing the group with mostly Korean & Japanese promotions hence they picked 2 of the most popular Izone members among Japanese fans (Sakura & Chaewon). And also Kazuha. Apparently HYBE also tried to get ex-Izone Minju to join LSF who also happened to be among the most popular Izone members in Japan. So it seems pretty obvious what SoMu's intentions were.
But they keep trying to appeal to Western audiences with their sound switching 180 degrees each comeback, chasing yet another popular sound/genre in the West, like Reggaeton (Antifragile), Afrobeats (Smart) and the most recent one House/Dance Electronic (Crazy), just to mention a few. This is probably one of the reasons for their weird chartings.
They don't really have much of a musical identity. Most of the top 4th gen GGs have a distinct sound and musical identity except LSF. And I believe this will hurt them in the long run by being inconsistent with their sound. It seems to me like SoMu doesn't really know what to do with LSF. They just throw anything at the wall with 100 remixes and lyrics about how they dgaf what people say about them and hope something sticks but it's just not sustainable.
