Idle were written off in 2019, after Itzy debut and they had a downturn (not flop, just less success) with Senorita and Uh-oh.
Then they absolutely went crazy viral on Queendom and had a great 2020 year with Lion and Dumdi Dumdi.
Then, they had Hwaa which went their highest on circle digital - only for them to have the Soojin scandal and hiatus. Again 'Oh Idle are done for' - literally takes after takes here.
People felt Idle were done for, with Aespa debut, and IVE debut.
Then Tomboy popped off (oh it's a one hit wonder) - then Nxde, then Queencard, now Fate hitting PAKs.
Idle have been written off their entire fucking existence and still manage to get to the top. It's incredible the amount of disrespect they get in these convos.
Aepsa have had their first, proper big hit, since 2021, and you guys are acting like it's already over and done, as well as writing off Idle.
You give this endless length of rope to any big 4 group, it's crazy. You don't even realize your bias. There's this endless patience that a big 4 group or whatever group they've 'pre-ordained' will be top, and once they have one big song - 'oh that's it, it's over'. Meanwhile groups like Idle, and IVE, have to constantly prove themselves every comeback. If Nmixx had a bigger hit tomorrow I would fucking guarantee there would be this endless discourse about how 'nmixx have displaced x' - meanwhile when Idle had Tomboy, you know what the overwhelming response was? 'One hit wonder'.
It's absolutely insane the hypocrisy and the double standards. The worst thing is you don't even realise it's weaved into your arguments - it's this unconscionable bias you don't even acknowledge - it's just evident with the way you frame things.
Aespa are going great. They've got a big song. This immediate rush to crown them after one song, whereas all the competition have had like 3-4 big songs - is absolutely bananas. It smacks of incredible hypocrisy and double standards.

Also, I never written off Gidle off in 2019. I also didn't write them off this year, I only pointed out their plateau/downward slope in Spotify which is warning sign. I put aespa #2 because of their upward trajectory. I still put NJ #1 even with their underperformance. Also literally I pointed out how good gidle albums sales and PAKs. Why I am saying they will struggle in Spotify next cb? Because of chain reaction
With each year passes the competition to become top in 4thgen become fierce because the market share become smaller. You can only have 1 underperformance in between comeback. So unlike before, group can have 3 or more underperformance. In Today's market, if they have more than 2 underperformance (like failure to enter in the charts in Gidle&Ive case) , the International casual listeners attention to waiting for their new music is already gone which means fans need to work extra hard to put adequate numbers so that the casuals will start to jumping the train again.
This is my prediction based on my analysis. Just like during NJ debut , I already predict that they will smashing Nationally and Internationally because the power of MHJxHYBE and I also predict that even though aespa used to be written off top be top group because of Spotify streams but I believe that with the right song they will making it.
Both had their biggest day at 1m streams on the spotify counter. I do know that only sometimes translates to something a bit less on the spotify chart, but both had days (actually very similar in timeframe, i think there was only like 3 days difference) where both had 1m spotify counter days.
That's what i mean by muddled streaming. If all the energy was focused on one song, I think it would have scraped in the global for a day or two (not that i'm suggesting it would change much, it doesn't appear to be a song that landed like Queencard did) but you never know i guess.
For me, I believe in Snowball effect, so what I wanted to pointed out is, when there's gradual failures, they will struggle to entering Spotify Global Charts next cb because they already losing momentum . On the other hand, if they have successfully enter Spotify Chart this cb then then next cb the probability of their song to enter is higher because of chain reaction. The more often the cb song entering the charts, the probability of their next cb song will enter the chart is high. This could happen because they're gaining momentum.
That's why I put Gidle & Ive below aespa and NJ. Why? Because I think they already entering plateau or downward trajectory in Streaming area.

I said already, Super Lady wasn't it, and Fate popped off in Asia but it was never gonna be a big spotify song. The issue to me is the recency bias. When Idle were rising on spotify global each release via Tomboy/Nxde/Queencard, and other groups (such as Aespa werent), it was like 'oh they're (Aespa) big in japan so their bigger' or LSF fans after Unforgiven were like (well Antifragile was still big) or any other excuse to not use spotify (because it wasn't in certain groups favour). Since Aespa fans and LSF fans and now IVE fans are allowed to use the 'history' of their previous songs charting, why aren't Idle allowed to? Rules for thee but not for me, in kpop discussion form.

On serious note, eventhough their numbers got exposed because of Hybeola, I still think New Jeans #1 because of their strong grip in Korea . One is because their likeness in Korea Public after MHJ gate is increasing even more and secondly they are doing easy listening songs, koreans like those kinds of songs. Which means NJ will always chart well in Kcharts as long as Korean Public doesn't turned their back on them.
For the rest including aespa they need good song to chart well. Aespa has the edges over the rest of them because they have bigger fanbase/listeners (look at the Melon streaming 24 hours record and spotify streaming numbers) that why I put them #2 but still couldn't beat NJ because aespa isn't doing public friendly song so they still need good song to be #1 on Kcharts.
Internationally aespa edges them but let's wait until NJ comes back again to see the actual effect of MHJ gate. If the gap increasing even further then maybe aespa is #1 afterall or maybe Payolit will achiving like NJ (before MHJ gate) . Who knows?

The thing with using a paid service when you're an idol is I guess, unless they're a weird freak in it for the thrill, they aren't going for cheaper escorts. They are probably hiring fairly high class, high price escorts that are used to servicing well known or high up people and are generally very, very discreet. Like Kaz said, it's their business, they wouldn't risk it by blabbing. And it being their business, they are also probably extremely careful with their health, getting tested regularly.
For a celeb, it's probably safer in a way to get a paid service than it is to have a one night stand or hook up with a fan/commoner. Less chance of it getting public and weirdly, safer health wise.
The thing is you got signed as Korean idol. Knowing how important your image is as an idol, at least you should refrain from doing things carelessly like this. If got caught they will get bashed by the public and half your fanbase is leaving . So in my opinion its better to getting a girlfriend than sleeping with prosti***.
