Have people seen this? Three of my fave GG dancers - they all have different styles. People will pick their bias of course.

Sad that this is the last time they have danced together on the same stage.

If you like and support a dancer who isn't Lisa, then you will get pressed when people compliment her. Lisa fans are just very vocal about it and I understand why people can find it annoying.

She's one of the best in the industry. Whether she's "the best" is subjective, but denying she has dancing talent is just hating.

What I really want is for the main dancers to collab on a dance project. How freaking amazing would that be?!

If it's not a dance track, then YG is 100% trying to sabotage her ^^

Lisa's weakest vocal performances are in non Blackpink songs. I get why she wanted to cover a Doja Cat track on their show, but those kinds of vocals are not her strength and I hope she realizes that. If she goes for the kind of song she likes to do dance covers to, I'll be a bit nervous.

I never believe YG is actually trying to sabotage her, but yes, if they go that route, then I'll finally believe.

I do think she can pull off a ballad, I'm sure we've all heard her short cover of "Paper Hearts", and she sounded really nice on "Hope Not". But honestly, ballad would just be a head scratcher.

I liked the Doja cover because it's a great song and she did well, but I agree, it wasn't the absolutely best choice.

YG has always been good about giving BP songs that can be sung live while dancing, so even though we want some heavy dance choreos for her, we have to think about how she can pull it off live. Don't want her sounding way too out of breath because she'll just get flamed for that.

These Western artists name dropping Lisa are just clout chasers to me. Except for Kehlani.

    I wish for:

    1) a solid hit-making producer not named Teddy (he can co-produce though), and

    2) a world-class choreographer for the MV like Paris Goebel (but she may be too expensive now), or even let Cheshir Ha work with her. Actually Kiel Tutin is a really amazing dancer, but he gives GG's soft choreos. If it's Kiel, then please give her some polyswagg choreo.

I think the expectations are high(the highest) on the performance of the song(charts(internationally), sales etc.) based on how people view her solo fan/stan base.

If anything from what I have seen she has the lowest(Rosé has the highest from what I see) expectation on the song(s) especially when a good number of people are predicting it will be a "dance" track or "rap" track for Lisa which I hope it wouldn't but hope any song that will be released will subvert anyone's expectations that are low. I would like to hear her taking on a Hip-hop/Rnb type track but then again I wish she has more than one song so she can experiment with more genres if YGE decides to play safe on the Title track sigh.

Anyway don't worry about her carrying a song, she's surrounded by experienced professionals to fit it with her strengths. Cardi is one of the most successful artists(different markets and consumers I know) and she's not known to be a good or decent vocalist and she has good writers(allegedly) who cater to her strengths so don't put too much concern on her carrying a song lool.

Thank you for writing a reasonable reply.

And reading this, it does pacify some of my concerns.

Immediately as you mentioned Cardi B, I thought, it just takes the right producers to make a hit. She has the tangibles - she can carry a note (she actually has a beautiful tonal colour, she can reach Rose notes when they sing together) and she is a decent rapper (but I'm hesitant to call her a great one).

They should know her well enough after all these years to cater to her strengths.

It's funny I am being labeled a troll just for sharing my opinion about my own BP bias. I happen to be a huge fan of Lisa, please don't judge me based on my FAIR criticisms of my own bias.

You can admire and like a person without thinking everything they do is perfect and expecting rainbows and gold to come out of their asses. It's called having a balanced view and not having blind faith.

That I said, I have my doubts, and like I said, I hope I am proven wrong with regards to her solo. I obviously want her to do well, and I know she can sing. But I think it's fair to say that the expectations are really high, hence my apprehension.

Pardon the negativity, but the expectation for Lisa's solo is so high, I frankly don't even know if she'll be able to deliver. I know the music video will get a bajillion views, but I'm nervous whether she can carry an entire song by herself. Of course, more than happy to be proven wrong! It's going to be a danceable song, that's a given, you know she is going to dance her pants off. If she can incorporate viral choreography, even better.

Rose's pre-sales are doing really well, but she also has a huge fanbase, so not surprising at all. I just wish they spaced out the releases better so Rose can have her time to shine. We are already seeing the fanwars, sigh.

    What stiffness?

Rose has worked really hard to learn choreo. She’s actually very impressive for someone who only started dancing at 16. This is why these girls train as hard as they do to be kpop level idols. She executes choreo very well and is a great performer. She’s amazing and couple that with those unique vocals, she’s a big part of what makes BP so great.

Lots of people give Jennie crap for her dancing, but she is just as good as Rose. And she’s obviously an ace in her own right, don’t get me started.

Jisoo has improved quite a lot and I’m so proud of her. She doesn’t get enough love for her steady vocals.

Anyone thinking Lisa isn’t the best dancer in the group is just a troll, simply put.

Actually, her best dance showcases are low quality videos. Below you can see she can pull off jazz style very well, so I don’t wanna hear anything about how she can only do hip hop. Obviously she can pop, lock and isolate at a very high level. One thing she knows how to do is to finish her dance lines all the way to her finger tips, and with those long limbs she really creates beautiful dance lines.

When she dances with the other girls, she knows how to balance the group dynamics.

With Choi Youngjoon choreo https://youtu.be/USxJ0fSga2M and https://youtu.be/3Mnn3uIWyOA. And a groups dance for Senorita: https://youtu.be/TPoNczHYqbE
And then some Honey J choreo: https://youtu.be/y2c_DsuDxoEm

That said, there are a lot of excellent dancers in kpop and she is right there along with all of them.
