I'm not invested in just one generation. If I start seeing some of the same issues pop back up I'll be disappointed and frustrated all over again. I would like K-Pop to be taken more seriously, especially in the West. That won't happen if the agencies aren't learning from the mistakes made in previous years.

I don't think SM is putting enough development into the "NCT brand/sub-brands" for them to really light up vibey tracks like "7th Sense" or "Simon Says". It has been an ongoing disappointment for me. Not a strong enough vocal kick or fire in the raps to really carry these kind of songs compared to "Make A Wish (Birthday Song)" which creates a lot of its own momentum. Fire and kick in the vocals would make "Birthday Song" even more lit.
I don't even want SM to continue to fail on executing Hip-Hop/Rap in the "NCT brand" by wasting these kind of deeper vibe tracks all because they didn't train the group to "go in" properly while recording.
I know rapping is an SM weakness, but it is most noticeable in this group on the guy side of the roster.

Pretty chill! If I was on a D6-listening binge, I'd keep this in the list!

Once you are able to love and accept yourself as you are and not care nearly as much of what value people assign to your looks, you'll feel liberated and so much better about yourself. Also, have some compassion for yourself too.

The beat is BEAT-N'!!

I don't want to get too hype, but it looks like SHINee's about to really come through and go in on the track like they have on one their more vibey-rhythmic numbers. I'll wait and see.

I have to go with "Shoot Me" because it has more vibey elements like Reggae mixed in.

"Ddu-Du" was more "on the money" than "Helicopter".

I'm in agreement with the number 1 picks. Gifted dancers with the swag and universal appeal to back it up!

I still want to see it to specifically check out how they retro'ed Landmark Mall for it.

I think IU is consistent enough to where it would hit the charts. If she put out a hot garbage-y "flash-in-the-pan" track, I think it wouldn't chart like a catalog-quality single.
I feel the same way about "Celebrity" as I do for Twice's "More & More". The verse is good, but after a point where the "vocal phasing" effect happens in or after the chorus, it slips and hits a low point.

Nice! I really had to look up who was the last person or band to do a legit and iconic MTV Unplugged session!

SZA is def. an influential R'N'B artist. We used the term "hit" as in "hitting or playing a particular song live" for the longest in my area. SZA comes with a song called "Hit Different", now practically everybody outside of my area have been saying that ever since!
