Taehyun gave one track from his mixtape to the BTS album and released another on Soundcloud / Youtube. So he needs two new songs, but he says he is not in a good position to work on the song because they are very busy right now. So I think maybe it will delay until the end of this year.

Taehyung was joking there but to be honest, I'm still bitter that Big Hit was didn't submit D2 for GRAMMYS even it eligible. If prioritizing the group means not using it when a member has the chance for such a big event, I can't say I'm happy with it.

Anyways, a side note I have been thinking. You all know how Taylor Swift has been in a legal battle with her old label for the masters of her entire discography right? In the music industry, the record labels usually own the masters of the music instead of the artist. Then, I noticed that all BTS mixtape MVs do not have Big Hit logo at the beginning. Also we have heard snippets about BTS members themselves funding many parts of the projects (such as JHope paying the original artist $5m license fee to use CNS). All of this makes me think that BTS members own the masters of all of their solo work, mixtape and SoundCloud independent releases. If this is true, it is very progressive and a great step forward for the music industry. Kudos to BTS and BH.

Maybe I'm wrong, but as far as I know, the rights of the mixtapes belong to Big Hit too. It appears in details when you go to the page.
