Standout: Yalla
so then why not create robots? cause Idols are human beings and we're not perfect
Probably because at the moment, we would feel that is too foreign of a concept to be idolising something other than a human. Tbh, idols are already somewhat like robots except they have personal liberties. They are manufactured in their respective companies to cater towards a certain image or mold and trained to have the skill sets that will aid them in their job. It's just that they're still allowed to express themselves out of their jobs but even then for most, there's a certain limit of self-expression so as not to cause any unwanted response from the consumer base. As one person has already stated above, in SK, there's an attitude where you must please the majority which happens to be our consumer base. From personal observation, the loudest of the crowd usually are the ones who have nothing better to do so they end up projecting their ideals to them which leads to overblown and stupid issues.
I feel like it might have to do with how the industry markets the idols and itself as more perfect and catering to the consumers so the consumers fall into a sense of feeling that they should have a large say into what their favourites are up to whilst in the Western market, it is more of a "I put out this product, take it or leave it" feel.
Oh wow, I wasn't expecting that last part.
Hmm, I'm more intrigued to hear the full song
maybe this is controversial but i think wonyoung did something to her face around a year ago and it became especially apparent when she re-debuted in ive; her facial muscles are too “tight” now and it looks like she sometimes has difficulties trying to emote different expressions with her face, which is what created that sth weird in her gaze now. During produce 48 and izone’s rookie year her face was much more relaxed and she could emote much more naturally. It’s honestly sad that she went under procedures so young and it could seriously mess up with her face later on since she’s still in the middle of growing
Hmm, perhaps it's that. I noticed too that this gaze thing wasn't really apparent during Panorama for me. Don't get me wrong, I think that Wonyoung's visuals are a fit for IVE's current concept but there's a slight something that I can't really pinpoint on. I guess it's more of an aura thing.
Yeah, it's sad especially if she's forced by the company. Wonyoung's a rather ambitious person if I'm not wrong so maybe that + the role she had to wear early on as IZ*ONE's center made her feel that a touch-up's needed for her to fit well in the more mature concepts she's going to take on. I feel like she matured too early due to circumstances.
I think Miyeon and Wonyoung look the most "expensive" but there's a certain something in Wonyoung's gaze that I don't particularly like. Miyeon has the more friendly aspect that Minju has. I find Minju to be the most styling and angle dependent of the four, sometimes she looks great but sometimes she looks off.
Ah, glad he's getting praised for his performance skills! Back then there was always a sense of unreleased potential/holding back when he performed but I think having to be the sole main dancer in Kingdom with HJ's hiatus definitely helped him feel more comfortable on stage and it shows in his performances now
It's already New Year's Day here in Australia. I'm not excited about it, I can see it being another bad year with COVID with perhaps another new variant. As long as there's no more lockdowns, I'm fine. I'll be having my booster vaccine at the end of the month for even more protection. We just have to face it, it's not going away.
Ah, I feel you. There's definitely a fear of a surge in cases after the Christmas and New Year celebrations. As much as I have gotten well accustomed to lockdowns, life must go on. I heard the regulations are quite strict down there regarding the implementations of lockdowns. Hopefully, the number of cases won't be too grim.
I think for the most part people just tune in for the lol of it or at least for the majority who don't schedule their day to lead up to the reveal. Kind of pity those who obsessively await the news to either fawn over the prospect of two idols loving about or release their whole artillery of the likes of sewer rat and garbage fish to the unfortunate party.
I don't really care for it but admittedly, I would click on a thread about it immediately. However, I would like to think that I would be indifferent about it. I couldn't care less about whether my bias is fucking the whole industry or if they want to lead a life of abstinence.
(Though you can always count on me being there to see the fans melt down )
Honestly, made me like the song better. On the contrary, disliked both Adios and Dun Dun.
It's not feeling quite new
Anyways, let's not die this year
Sunwoojunga and Oh My Girl!
Nice way to kill me start off the new year
You really do appreciate the warmth of sunlight when the rain is intent on going full barraging mode
Oh My Girl at #5
Glad they backed last year's results up
Listening to an album from start to finish is also my preferable method of listening along with listening to an artist from their very first release to their very last to see how they evolved through the years. There's something less satisfying when I listen randomly and without order which is made impossible with the complete quackery that is non-Premium mobile Spotify
I am like peach
