from what I’ve heard, YGplus is solely responsible in distributing YG artists albums and merch so in the end of it all they get full profit since they don’t have to share it with other companies. Nothing bad really, there were some hiccups with BlackPink albums since this was YGs first million seller album but I’m pretty sure they will get better with distributing albums in the future

Considering that BH invested on them (not just signed like they do with American labels). There is a possibility that they will have a lot of input in ensuring proper distribution of goods by their artists and this may stick to YG groups too.
I mean, if one if them adds further control on the quality of the service, it will benefit everyone.

Happened then and is happening today.
It seems like people may have had actual concerns in both cases but it all got buried by hate and people calling 'hypocrisy' every time even when they should know that company stans opinions are never the opinion of the idol stans (And obviously will seem opposite in some cases)

This says so much and so little... if they really use fanfiction as a marketing strategy and make it work, we may be facing a fundamental change in fandom dynamics. Imagine if Western artist are forced to follow this...
Actually, even if they fail, people already will make a big fuss out of this, no one will forget the word 'kpop' in the future lmao.

There is also the possibility that they encourage RPF but only PG rated and with no romantic/sexual undertones. They will have to wipe clean all of wattpad and I can see the platform dying after this.
Anyway, As a shipper I have always ALWAYS encouraged people to keep their ships private, only use secluded websites and never talk about ships under the members twitter, official content or public post of any kind.
I will not like to see my boys involved if this promoted RPF has romantic undertones of any kind so BH better stay away if that's the case.

So... I am afraid BE will end up selling (our dreamed) 7M after this and BH will think this type of release was OK.
(Totally forgetting everything in between: our failed 7M for BTS 7 year, ARMY confused and upset, ARMY discussing how this strategy cheapens the message of the album, BTS free falling on the charts and consequently, BE didn't even caused some buzz to last over Grammy voting period)

So, even if most cnetizens don't care, it still affected ALL BTS sales from China, remember that some Chinese companies (in charge of importing merch) took BTS out of their catalogue?
cARMY may still have bought individual albums in secret (via other methods) but it shouldn't have escalated to that when it was such a small (made up) controversy and apparently no one gave a fuck.

Chinese fans had to cancel their purchases for BTS recent album because they got harassed online after BTS refused to acknowledge and apologise for a made up controversy aided by the CCP.
Previous sales by Chinese bars were done out of free will and BTS didn’t have to comply with any political demand at the time.

Either way, Nike & Adidas aren't luxury brands and BTS already did Puma and Fila, which are on the same level on my eyes, they just can't endorse several sportswear brands at the same time. Nor do they need it, they ain't full time models.
Luxury brands have never adopted full groups (only choose individual endorsers) and BTS only accept group endorsements. Your faves don't work like that and that's why you can't relate. It's ok.

The rest of BTS discography is doing amazing.
I'll be happy if they add more tour dates for Japan once they start touring.
I have the feeling they will play safe and start with Korean and Asian concerts before securing venues on other continents... so all the best for our Asian ARMYs, I think some of you may see them sooner lol
