BTS was always an exception, the Western industry is so hermetic that only the most IMPACTFUL artist in the kpop industry could make them bend around.
Still, it is obvious how desperate they were to shut the door closed ASAP.
I guess other kpop acts will have to keep trying. Maybe riding the coat tails of relevant Western acts will finally do the trick...

HYBE has been salty about BTS existance for literal years.
I have been saying this over and over, they have been downplaying their contributions for so long...
Like, how can we forget that they took BTS online concert revenue and pretended it was Weverse revenue... so they could claim that their digital investment were finally profitable.
BTS broke records by being the best selling artist with online concert and they tried to fool everyone.
