For example if you told me not today is a skz song i’d believe you. Or literally any skz song if you told me was BTS’s I’d believe you too.
Other than their very pop sounding song like butter or dynamite which is more recent, I will not be able to tell a BTS song apart from a SKZ song.
This is what happens to me when I hear those guess the song tiktok challenges at least.
Anyway this is not a dig at these two in specific. But kpop isn’t that special mostly for people to actively think that these group are completely different from each other. SKZ definitely feel like a successor to the BTS sound of music than say EXO’s. If that makes any sense.
You don’t listen to BTS songs at all so how are you qualified to say they sound similar? Not today came out 6 years ago and you are using that one song to define how both groups discography sound similar? Not today was released when spring day was released as well. Spring day is the queen of ULs in melon.

I think I get what Tic is saying.
Like, for me, as a fan of both discographies from the bottom of my heart, their music is quite different in many aspects overall. But I doubt everyone has the same perception about every song of theirs or think deeply about it like I do lol.
Someone who just listen to a song from both groups randomly and don't even care much about rap/hip-hop might think Outro: Tear and 3Racha (song) is the same thing from the same group, even though one is Trap, the other is Drill and both rapping styles are different.
But I think this is not exclusive for BTS and SKZ lol some casuals usually think a group sounds like another just because they might be driving into a similar genre
If someone thinks trap, drill and rapping styles are different but somehow the song is similar, they need to get a hearing test. Don’t fucking compare BTS rapline with skz member.
