Feel Special was their real departure from their signature sound and while it wasn't a megahit (as that was kind of a dead year for the charts) it was still incredibly successful.
It's further departure from Twice's sound, the refusal to develop solo careers and the encore stages that hurt them.

YG is the majority stakeholder in TBL(hence why it’s an associate company). They haven’t pissed of anything lol. In fact now YG will make money from BP without directly managing them.
YG is the type of company to focus on one GG at a time so I won’t be surprised if this came from them. If BP truly wanted to escape the shackles of YG they wouldn’t have joined TBL.
YG is not the majority shareholder, that's why they're an associate company and not a subsidiary
YG owns only 30% of TBL.
So yes, they'll still profit off BP, but to a significantly lesser extent than simply keeping them at YGE. Hence I'm doubtful to believe they'd willingly do this.
