NCT didn't have much success until lately (around 2020). They spent 4 year being not so profitable.
Meanwhile, Aespa showed a lot of success within their 1st year itself. I guess the answer is Aespa. Not to mention they have to spend more on minimum wage for NCT (20+ members) than Aespa (4 members).

Based on a single year, probably Aespa. CFs, exposure would be more profitable than album sales I would think. Obviously less members as well.
Once touring comes back though, I think NCT's model would actually be capable of some really big numbers. You can do tours and concerts of different units. Members can do individual promos while still having group stuff.
That said, Aespa is on track to be massive so I'd lean towards them if we are looking at 3/4 years down the track based on current trajectory.

NCT because there are more ways to get the money:
- album sales for NCT Dream + NCT 127 + WayV + NCT (all group)
-CFS for each of the groups (NCT 127, NCT Dream and WayV all have CFs) AND individual members (varies by member)
- acting roles
- merch for all the units
- concerts for all the units
This is basically one group compared to four different groups..
