Sm is a heaven for visuals idols

    This is an old, tiresome narrative. A lot of JYP and YG idols weren't any better looking predebut than Jessica, Giselle etc predebut.


    A lot of SM female artists were already good looking before debut, as their many child and teen pics show aside from the 1-2 worst pics that jealous haters always pick.

    Any average person that debuts in SM will be hailed as a visual by SM stans. Their actual visuals like Irene or Sull い aren't known for their vocals.

    They're not the best singers in their groups, but as live performances and even acapellas prove time and time again, SM visuals actually know better to sing live, hold their tune and harmonize than most other non-main/lead vocalists in other groups, certainly when comparing 3rd and 4th gen.

    This due to an actually proper, thorough singing coaching program that SM has for trainees, that other companies don't consider investing time and effort in, or simply don't care about.

    What I meant was visuals actually get jobs in sm whe in other groups they're just there with 2 seconds of line and screentime distribution. They're always in front and play a huge part in every comeback. It'd be a dream come true of visuals to debut under sm.

    Kinda true but i dont agree 100%

    I know I'm nitpicking but in 90s Love which is a song by nct2020 it's sungchan and the vocalists who got the most attention/ in old nct127 songs winwin who is/was one of their visuals got 0 screentime

    So, the visuals don't always get the best treatment but yeah it's true that SM tries to at least make them feel like they're a part of the performance

    isn't their visual idols is almost always put in the rapper position? and if you happen to have good skills as a trainee, most likely they will be given plastic surgery
