Ok here's my theory, this could actually be a sign from HYBE. The previews and stuff are all from their earlier eras that are more dark. Signalling a dark release for BTS's upcoming album.
This would fit their recent trend of dark/light album years as 2022 would be the year of a dark album(2019-light album(Map Of The Soul: Persona)2020-dark album(Map Of The Soul: 7), 2021- light album, Butter single album)
