I don't think they would have.

It's not as if they were similar groups so g.o.d just took up what H.O.T left behind - g.o.d were more vocal heavy and found success with introspective songs that resonated with the public on a personal level.

They would have made even less money because of the drastic decrease of album sales in Korea. But even then, H.O.T would still remain bigger.
