I always loved both, because performances and lives is what got me into kpop in first place, they perform just so much better than the standard western pop act that is a shame to propose shows that focus on performance to end
But I also realize they were made to increase fandom spending. Idols are thought and instruct to get awards otherwise they aren't worth it, and the only way for them to get these awards is if they fans keep buying their stuff. With every fandom competing to get higher sales we have fans muss-buying stuff such as albums and mass-streaming songs so they can get better chances to be nominated and then get awards
This is the basic premise of way fans buy multiple issues of the same album. If this was a matter of collection as much stuff as they could, then companies would release big and expensive packages like Bighit did with BTS's Be. The idea however os to have multiple cheap versions of the albums with minimum photocards and photobooks, so people will need to buy multiple versions
Maybe if the industry stop pushing sales-based shows kpop stans would spend less money buying stuff again and again only to throw it into trash cans. The prime exemple of this os chinese fandoms and their non-ship back strategy
What do you think?
