twenty five twenty one is facing backlash because the male lead (23) confesses to a 19 year old. i think it should be rightly so. anyone who thinks a relationship between high schooler and a person who's at the age that they should have graduated college is okay is literally stupid. just bc something is legal doesnt mean its ethical.

When you grow up and meet other people you'll understand 4 years of difference is nothing, we aren't talking about a 15 years old here but a 19 years old person, that's not a kid.

Let's say the 23 year old will still be studying for a few years and won't get a job anytime soon so they are basically in the same stages in life is it fine?
Also not everyone goes to college.Do u need to be in the same stages in life to be able to date?Both need to be in universities or both need to be working in the real world?

19 and 23 are basically like freshman/sophomore and senior in college in most countries.ig it's wrong for university students to date each other since u said 19 year olds are still children or is it only wrong in sk because 19 year olds are still in hs?

Gonna be honest this doesn't strike me as unethical or predatory.
That being said I can see why others do see it as potentially problematic.
From what I hear, when both are above 20, an age gap of even six years, with examples of both males and females being the older one.
only four years is quite in the norm for me, unless there was specific evidence that the older (or in some rare cases, the younger one) was being predatory, abusive, or exploitative.
I draw the line at 9 years. that is past half the time span for an adult to have a child. (18 year min age diff for parent/child ages)

The little you are, the more the age difference is more noticeable but 3/4 years age difference from someone who is already 17/18 years old isn't not much like a 18yo dating someone who 30yo is weird, legal but weird but there isn't nothing wrong a 18/19 yo dating an early 20s person

You should take it as a 17/18 years old is still pretty inmature but it's not a child either. When you're that age, you already know what's wrong or right, you should be able to take some rational decisions and you should be able to take some responsibilities. When you're 18/19 years old you should start thinking what you want for your future, some decide to continue studying, some decide to find a job directly and others study while working. When you're 18/19 years old is when your start thinking on your own and you start becoming less dependent on your parents/tutor (in some cases).
Obviously someone who is under 20s is still pretty inmature (with exceptions), heck I'd say you're not enough mature until you're late 20s and some people will never be mature not matter their age lol but a 18/19 years old person it's not what you call a kid either. Now you can tell me a 35yo has no business dating a 18yo but a 18/19yo person dating an early 20s person?? Nah
