Eminem was celebrated for taking the knee, Colin Kaepernick wasn't. Why?

  • My thread title is a bit.....horribly worded so I'll reiterate what I said in another thread.

"It's very fascinating how no one has cared about this past day one, yet when Kapernick did the same thing NFL fans were RAGING, he got basically banned from the NFL, got his collaborations/sponsorships pulled back, etc, etc

I don't know, it's just super interesting to see the difference in reaction between a white man who is beloved by middle America doing this & a black man basically protesting against the injustice against his own people has faced by his own people for several decades doing it."

If any of you were following the news then, this Kaepernick stuff was on the news for days/weeks. He was effectively banned from the NFL.

Yet Eminem has NOT received the same backlash & his career has continued to thrive. Sure, there are some typical rednecks getting angry but it's easily NO WHERE near the same backlash Collin got. Why?

  • The NFL is racist as fuck and everyone knows it. That's it. That's the reason. There have been athletes in multiple sports taking a knee and still playing. The NFL chose to make him the scapegoat because it's a racist organization with owners who are also racist.

  • Eminem is not a NFL player, and he is being criticized too.

Also what do you mean ? Kaepernick was also celebrated for doing it. You only saw those who criticized him ? Nike literally declared him a hero which pissed of bigots who than started to burn Nike shoes.

Yeah a few got pissed and NFL kinda banned him, but almost the whole world celebrated his braveness. I don’t why some people only focus on the negative.
