what’s going on with weeekly?

  • I remember not so long ago people were including them as 4th gen leaders with aespa, stayc and itzy after they released after school and got popular? but now it seems ive has taken their place and no one talks about them anymore?

    Approved the thread.
  • They haven't released a song that performed as well as After School since it came out. That's probably why.

That being said, not like it's over for them. Maybe they can find their stride again in the next comeback.

  • They'll have their first single album coming soon I think, so there's that. If people jumps around groups expecting them to hit big or because of trends then it'll be hard for groups to grow. Their Holiday song isn't that bad. They're not bad live either, they don't miss talent that's for sure.

    They sound great!

  • Their newest song wasn't as popular as After School and it was over 6 months ago since they had a comeback.

Non-big 3/4 groups needs to be more active to stay relevant. People often forget about Ateez, Gidle and TBZ too.

Well Ateez and tbz are very active all the time, people forget about them on akp because they're not big4. But they remember about them when there are who's leading what, charts and generation discussions. Or to make up some nonsense scandals. Or to bring them down to feel as if their faves are so superior to them. ^^

  • This prove doing well in one song doesn't mean u're the top gp in 4th gen.People brag about ive being top but they should wait for their comeback first.

Not really the same is it tho? Weeekly had a song that got a bit of clout on Tik Tok and did alright internationally. IVE had Eleven, one of the biggest songs of 4th gen overall. Performance around Wannabe or above level internationally and in Korea only behind Next Level for 4th gen.

They also sell like 300+ thousand already. I think it's a bit different, IVE have already shown themselves to be above most 4th gen groups and the only hope people have is they fall off in their first comeback.
