Can you explain the reason behind this reaction? /gen
It all started when a Chinese youtuber(?) I think claimed hanbok to be a part of Chinese culture and then the issue blew up from both sides. The current rage that is going on is bcoz recently in the opening ceremony of Winter Olympics, a participant from Chinese side showed up wearing hanbok which added fuel to the fire among Koreans and it seems like Chinese are taking Korean celebrities wearing hanbok as a jab against them so they're sending hate in return.

But it is avoidable or at least was. There was no issue with Hyoyeon last week or at the time when she uploaded the pics. It only became an issue when knetz used her for propaganda.
Hell even you did so by saying Hyoyeon got involved deliberately
It's very hypocritical to say it's unavoidable or that no one should be targeted when when you yourself more or less put words in her mouth thus putting a nice big target on her back, just as knetz did. Even after I said knetz were setting her up you didn't ask for an elaboration you simply ignored any sort of background info and went straight to explicitly saying Hyoyeon did it on purpose.
As a result it gives both knetz and cnetz incetive to check around for anyone dressed in hanbok regardless of reason and use them as ammunition in some form by distorting the truth in this online war because as you proved the fake news strategy it works.
Okay, my bad for assuming wrong. Since she posted this photo after the opening ceremony of Winter Olympics so I thought she might have done it intentionally like other celebrities who are posting pics of them wearing hanbok.

I get it. Once again the colonialism talk.
This reaches a next level in China-Japan-Korea.
Thank you for explaining!
