Soyeon performs a rearranged cover of BlockB's Nalina on Sketchbook

She oozes stage presence. Of course she has to incorporate her own lyrics as always.

I just read a post on Reddit disliking the cover. The OP thought it was cringe the way she sang the song and thought she was try hard. That made me think more about what stood out from the performance.

I thought it was hell of a performance with great stage presence, charisma, facial expressions, gestures, and delivery. It looked natural to me the way she performed it. What I did find was a strong-confident-dominant-in charge -sexy persona that's very rare from females in K-Pop. It's a reversal of roles men and women usually portray. People aren't used to that and I think that can be off-putting.

It could also be why people dislike Soyeon off stage. There are actually people who have said they dislike her or don't vibe with her and don't exactly know why. She shares some of the same traits she displays on stage. She's a strong and confident female who is self-assured in what she wants.
