Sometimes it's good to criticize our faves song rather than defending them all the time

  • One day, I read western producer interview (I forgot the name) prefers to produce Kpop songs more. In the west they produced songs exactly in the same mold (sounds in a certain way that fit their audience) , in Kpop they are free to explore their creativity and sounds even sometimes going too far since they knew many fans will defend their faves song no matter what it's sound like unlike in the west. I don't know this is a shade or praise, but from the bits in this interview, we as kpop fans needs to use our critical thinking because sometimes it's good to criticize our fave song rather than defending them all the time.

  • I think it's fine to criticize our faves, but there's also no channel to give our feedback. We just get lumped with haters. The only way to give feedback is by not buying/streaming.

  • if i find it good i'll defend them if it's not i'll criticize or just keep quiet(depends on what fandom)

  • If we let the song to flop silently, then they won't release such songs anymore. That's how I feel when BTS released ON. Now I know for sure, they won't release anything like that song forever.
