Has there been an SMTM like production for K-pop groups?
i.e. Veteran/successful idols, building groups from contestants and competing their teams?
Produce had the public picking their choices (vote manipulations apart),
Queen/King-dom had existing groups competing,
Others had judges picking from trainee contestants to make groups/debuts - Sixteen, K-pop Star etc.
But any show where veteran idols build teams - compose songs/raps/choreos for their teams and have them compete ( but the producer idols themselves should not perform)?
Wonder if that has been tried?
Wouldn't that be fun?
Being successful by oneself/one's team is itself a big deal, but making a successful team is another level by itself.
In education, not all experts are great teachers and not all teachers are great experts, though there is a decent overlap, very different dynamics.
And then actual K-pop companies can bid to recruit the teams from the show.
