I remember those photos back in 2012. All the fans went spaz over it and thought it was a sex photo but it turned out just an innocent photo. I thought IU should've known better at the time and could have chosen a more appropriate photo. Apparently she was ill at the time and he was visiting her. It did look suspicious though and both copped a bit of flack over it even to this day. That photo is so cringey now

For IU, it turned out well, because it broke her out of the "little sister" image and she could expand into other genres and styles of music.
For Eunhyuk, well SuJu was already at the end of their run as a group, might have affected his solo variety career some, but he could ride it out, and I don't think it would have made much of difference.
Heechul dominates the variety from SuJu, Siwon in dramas, rest are anyway middling, so meh.. in the long run.
So mistake or not, it was a blip only a small % even remember or care about.

Lol that was the cover story😭😭 You can see he looks topless in the pic. And a tad flushed... And who would lean in for a head-to-head selfie with a sick person? That was not a "here I am visiting my sick friend" pic. Thank the Lord she was dressed.
I think she meant to post it to a private account for friends and accidentally posted it on her public. She deleted it quickly.
It goes to show how loved celebs can bounce back from anything though. Knetizens did not buy their story, but they moved on because they love her music. He wasn't quite as lucky.

Yes, IU may of deleted the photo not long after she posted it but it was too late as it had already gone viral. I have always suspected that even though the photo proved to be a hoax, I still reckon he was dating/sleeping with her. He apparently was wearing a singlet top that was low down but he did look like he was sweating which has to make one wonder if it was a post sex shot. I guess we will never know the truth on that one.

IU said in an interview like a week or so before the photo came out that she was interested in breaking out of her innocent image and then this picture was released. It might not have been a planned publicity stunt, but it definitely achieved what she was hoping. It didn't seem like an accidental posting.

The "visiting the sick" back story was released by IU's agency, not even SM. And once again, Eunhyuk has never acknowledged the big elephant in the room or made any statements about it on his own.
