why are fans even surprised that SMA is rigged?

they have been rigging this long ago. tsk tsk

Why is anyone still taking award shows seriously. One award show is not more/less rigged than the other

I'm happy I didn't waste my time voting for this award show.

People who believe that getting high ranks in votes will secure you an award are dumb.

Sma has been shown how rigged it is for far too long to take it seriously

I guess because SMA is open about their criteria and featured monetised voting

Who cares?

Why are people taking award shows seriously anyway? Most of them are rigged, Mnet and MAMA have been known to exclude groups and artists of companies they have beef with and give preferential treatment to others in both their survival shows as their award shows for 10+ years, yet still Kpop fans fall for it, same for other award shows.

What you usually see is this:

- someone's bias wins the award show, his/her reaction: 'Deserved! The right group/artist won!'

- a group or artist that someone dislikes or that isn't their bias wins the award show, his/her reaction: 'The award show is rigged! They've been bought!'

While in reality it shouldn't matter at all whether your biases won or groups you hate. All award shows should be taken with a grain of salt always all the time.

It doesn't mean we can't expose them every year
