So why weren’t rv able to secure a bigger fanbase?

  • The got the hits, the discography, the visuals. So why was their fanbase always tiny to their competition, especially compared to bp n twice?

Even now Itzy n aespa were able to surpass rv in fandom. While twice n bp are far ahead of everyone else.

  • they have a mix of good songs and bad songs

    basically, inconsistency

what ive noticed most kpop fans love when their group sticks to a similar sound

anything different might be appreciated at first, but hurts them in the long run

  • they're not a spoon for everyone's mouth.

their discography is full with many different concepts, some of them unique to red velvet, and despite it being a huge flex, it's also a great disadvantage. i see many people enjoying their "velvet" tracks but hating on their "red" ones and vice versa. regardless of what everyone is saying, kpop stans just don't like diversity and such jumping from concept to concept each comeback, completely different from the past, isn't appealing to most of them.

however, i wouldn't say reveluvs are a small fandom. sure, not as big as blinks or onces but definitely not as small as some stans think. imo they're just lazy af and that's why rv's numbers aren't that high :pepe-toilet:
