It’s actually simple. Aespa songs are very camp that’s it. Kpop is very camp I mean look at twice heck even red velvets songs. Even boy groups members and songs are quite camp this is also why a lot of once and other fandoms love aespa to. To be successful in kpop your song needs to be quite campy to a degree e.g snsd one of kpop biggest songs Gee is literally top 3 campiest songs in kpop same as cheer up. itzy started flopping drastically when they reduce their campiness in not shy and both mafia and loco (although still camp) aren’t as campy. Nothing bad about camp songs i mean that is kpop but I see people confused why aespa’s so popular and hold power and that’s the reason (there’s obviously other factors but this is the core)
